Buildings

Our objective is an increased use of renewable energy, and in particular bio, solar and wind energy. The goal is that 50 percent of all energy produced in the region will renewable energy by 2010. To reach this goal we need lesser and more efficent energy consumtion.

Agriforenergy2
The purpose of Agriforenergy is to link participants from the supply side with the demand side as well as to promote new bioenergy companies and business in the three sectors where the forest owners and farmers can contribute most to Sweden to meet EU targets for bio-energy: heating with biomass, biooil and biogas/biomethane.

Covenant of Mayors
The cities are responsible for more than half of the greenhouse gas emissions and therefore their involvement is essential in the fight against global warming. Joining the Covenant of Mayors means that local and regional ambitions go beyond the objectives of the EU energy policy in terms of reducing CO2 emissions through increased energy efficiency and cleaner energy production and consumption. Bioenergy Group
Bioenergy Group started its work in 1996 and is a collaboration between the bioenergy companies VEAB, EON Heat AB, Järnforsen Energy Systems AB and ÅF Consult AB, which work together to develop and introduce energy from biomass. The R&D work includes the Bioenergy Centre at Växjö University, Affärsverken Karlskrona and the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden. Read more.
 
BIO-EN-AREA
BIO-EN-AREA is a mini programme within the framework of the INTERREG IVC. The project's goal is the exchange and transfer of experiences that provide an increased ability of the regions in the EU to promote bioenergy in the best possible way. BioEnergy Småland/Expo Växjö
BioEnergy Småland/Expo Växjö is part of the Energy Agency projects EUFORI which is about to accelerate the commercialization of the results from the Swedish energy research. Read more.
 
Buy Smart
Buy Smart project is working to promote, create and develop tools for green procurement which means the procurement of energy efficient products. The work is addressed to both private and public institutions and offers help in the form of procurement guidelines and calculation tools. Product groups within Buy Smart are office equipment/IT, household appliances, vehicles, lighting, green power, construction components. City_SEC
City_SEC has been designed to support local decision-makers in the municipalities in their efforts to achieve the goals of the Covenant of Mayors and thus surpass the EU’s energy goals. Regional energy agencies and regional development agencies can help with information and knowledge about the benefits you can get with a powerful use of energy from renewable sources, both socially and economically, and how to use energy more efficiently and introduce energy saving measures. Come2CoM
The Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden participates in the IEE project Come2COM. The project aims to disseminate information about and support joining the Covenant of Mayors. The project offers the municipalities in the southeast region a helping hand on developing baseline emission inventories and sustainable energy action plans. Read more.
 
EnercitEE – Local action for efficient energy use
EnercitEE is a mini programme designed to provide a concrete help with the implementation of the EU’s energy goals. The project is implemented under the INTERREG IVC and will build on experience and existing networks of the project enercy'regio. Read more about EnercitEE here. Energy efficient Växjö – Climate Investment Programme
The municipal real estate companies are supported by energy technical advice. This applies to both contribute to a higher technical level but also a higher level of awareness of energy issues. ENNEREG
ENNEREG aims to disseminate information about and support the municipalities in the County of  Blekinge in joining the Covenant of Mayors. The project can assist municipalities with the development of baseline emission inventories and sustainable energy action plans. The project also includes awareness-raising activities, etc. for implementation of energy and climate policies at the municipal and regional level. Read more.
 
ENIG
ENIG is a network created to promote energy efficiency in Swedish industry. ENIG will develop and provide analytic tools, key performance indicators, work practices, support, cooperation methods etcetera, and develop a functional website with interactive features. Finnvedsbostäder, Solar energy
We participate in an initial feasibility study on large-scale solar power in Värnamo. The idea is that Värnamo Municipality, Finnvedsbostäder, Värnamo Energi and the County will work together in a cooperative society to connect an installation of solar panels to the district heating grid. Forest
The project is working with the bioenergy chain: from supplying fuel to the installation, servicing and maintenance of boilers for bioenergy. The goal is to work directly with the companies in the bioenergy chain to develop and strengthen long-term partnerships and to build trust among the end users. GodaHus – Society for Energy Efficient Buildings in South East Sweden
There are great opportunities to develop work with energy efficient buildings in the region. Through a joint venture, built on the Triple Helix model with the participation of public operators, universities and companies, the vision is that the Southeast Region will be a centre for energy efficient buildings. Renewable Energy in Southeast Sweden
The project is an effort to encourage renewable energy generation among LRF (the Federation of Swedish Farmers) members. The work includes areas such as business, mentoring, energy efficiency at farm level and Eco driving. The project is implemented by the LRF, in collaboration with the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden and is funded by the Rural Development Programme and regional councils of Kalmar, Kronoberg and Blekinge.   
 
Prometheus
The project aims to help companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to strengthen their positions in the market for green energy services. The project will assist small and medium-sized companies with the help in critical areas such as preparation of marketing strategies and providing of professional competence development. The project started in June 2009 and will continue until May 2012 and is funded by the IEE.

Regional heating
Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden is actively working on a biofuel based local/regional energy supply through district heating. Completed and successful projects are the Mål 2 project and the Närvärme Kronoberg project. Please contact Hans Gulliksson for more information. 

RELACS
RELACS will link participants from the tourism industry as hotel chains, camping organizations and hostels for them to be energy efficient and/or install renewable energy for heating and cooling. This provides a possibility to get an award as an energy sustainable hotel or facility. A prize to the best hotel or facility will also be distributed at the EU level. Read more.
 
SACC USA
Bioenergy Exports to the U.S. – is that a possibility? The Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden interacts with the County Administrative Board in Kronoberg and SACC in order to analyze the conditions. Please contact Hans Gulliksson for more information or visit http://www.swedenweek.org/.

SEP – North Sea Sustainable Energy Planning
SEP is a project with the countries of the North Sea region as partners. The overall aim is to strengthen Kronoberg as asustainable and competitive region by increasing the share of renewable fuels and energy efficiency in buildings. This will be achieved through more efficient energy planning by the project developing methods and tools for energy planning. WEBSR2 - Wind Energy in the Baltic South
Region 2
The project "Wind Energy in the BSR 2" is the continuation of a project that begun in 2003. A broad expertise on wind energy will be collected in the network WEBSR2 through extending the already established networks. Read more.

MEGA – Focus on energy efficiency in small companies
MEGA project evaluates the energy efficiency projects carried out in small and medium-sized companies where the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden has been involved (Sparkraft, Oskarshamn study, Höglandet etc.). The project is supported by the Swedish Energy Agency. Read more.
 
Pro Heat Pump
ProHeatPump is an Intelligent Energy project to promote good examples on use of ground source  heat pumps. The project aims to help reducing the usage of fossil fuels for heating. Read more on the project website. For more information see www.proheatpump.eu.
 
PU Benefs – Energy Services
PU Benefs was an EU project in Sweden managed by the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden to inform and strengthen public institutions, public agencies and property owners in demanding and using of energy services. Read more.
 
RADAR
Strengthening regional sustainable supply and use of biomass – that is the goal of the project RADAR which stands for "Raising awareness on Renewable Energy Developing Agro-Energetic Chain Models". Read more.
 
REGBIEplus – A stronger market for bioenergy
Regbie is about supporting European bioenergy market activities. The project started in January 2007 and was led by the German target GmbH. Read more.
 
REPRO – Regio Energy Profit
How should clusters working with sustainable energy systems be organized and led to get maximum benefit from them? The project Regio Energy Profit wanted to find out. The goal is to get the best possible economic benefits from the work on sustainable energy and stimulate growth, employment and innovation. Read more.
 
RES Market Places – A meeting place for renewable energy and energy efficiency
The project focused on linking user networks with supplier networks in the area of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Read more.
 
Rural RES
Rural RES aimed at highlighting good examples on the use of small scale wind/hydro power systems in Europe and identify potential areas for them. The project also raised awareness about the benefits of the use of small scale wind and hydro power. The project’s experts educated companies, communities and farms in the use of small scale wind and hydro power. An analysis of the potential of some of the region’s rivers was carried out. SESAC – Energy Efficient Urban Development
The municipality of Växjö and the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden coordinated the European project SESAC, Sustainable Energy Systems in Advanced Cities. The project dealt with energy efficient urban development and was part of the EU Commission’s programme Concerto. This five year project was supplies a total of 10 million euro of EU funds to the three participating cities Växjö, Delft and Grenoble. Read more.
 
WasteWaterHeat – energy from waste
WasteWaterHeat was an EU project with the goal to inform and increase opportunities for municipalities, housing corporations, consultants, etc. and use wastewater as an energy resource. Read more.
