Mobility Management
Since 2005 the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden operates Mobility Management offices in the Counties of Kalmar and Kronoberg, and from 2008 also in the County of Blekinge. A Mobility Management office works to promote sustainable mobility and passenger transport. Biogas Southeast
Biogas Southeast is a regional network working actively to affect and improve the conditions for biogas in Southeast Sweden. Coordination of regional efforts and resources makes it easier to achieve good results. Read more.
Clean Drive – A campaign for environmentally friendly vehicles in Europe
Clean Drive is a project in collaboration with car dealers in nine European countries, with the focus on increasing their knowledge and making them environmental ambassadors so that the sale of more energy and climate efficient cars increases. Read more.
Climate Investment Programme project for clean vehicle funding in the County of Kalmar 2005–2010 and in the County of Kronoberg 2007–2011
The Regional Council in Kalmar County and the Regional Council of Southern Småland, received funding from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency for various climate investments reducing the emissions of fossil carbon dioxide in the region. Read more.
MaDeGasCar
MaDeGasCar is a project working to develop the market for biogas and natural gas vehicles in Europe. The goal for South Sweden is six new biogas production sites, 15 filling stations and 500 light gas vehicles. Read more.
Goods transport
East West Transport Corridor II
In June 2009 the transportation project East West Transport Corridor II (EWTCII) was approved, the largest transportation project in the EU Baltic Sea Region Programme. The project is a continuation of the first East West TC project which focused on the development of the transport corridor Esbjerg-Vilnius through Öresund and Blekinge. The project has a budget of about 60 million Swedish kronor. Read more about EWTC II.
The Regional Goods Transport Council in SmålandThe regional Goods Transport Council in Småland is a collaboration between business world, transport companies and the Swedish Transport Administration. The objective is to monitor transport policy objectives and promote coordination between different modes of transport. The Goods Transport Council is run by the Swedish Transport Administration. Completed projects
Save Rural Filling Stations
Save Rural Filling Stations was a campaign in the Counties of Kronoberg, Kalmar and Blekinge to counteract the shutdown of filling stations and work for more stations with renewable fuels. A first step in the project was a conference held in Växjö. The next step was to list all filling stations in the region and their prospects of survival. Read more.
Smart Mobility (Smart Trafikant)
The Swedish part of MOVE was named the Smart Trafikant (Smart Mobility). The project addressed habitual motorists at eight workplaces in the Counties of Kalmar and Kronoberg to make them consider more sustainable modes of transport when travelling to and from work. Read more.
e-Tream
In the project e-TREAM an e-learning platform with10 modules on sustainable transport (mobility management) was developed to improve the skills of 50 energy agencies and local and regional key actors in sustainable transport issues. The project's various partners formed a joint Expert Board and local steering groups to support the development, implementation and dissemination. In the project, various services (at least one of each partner) were developed aimed at an imaginary third target that varied depending on the service. Read more.
Development of regional and local biofuel networks (Bionett)
The project developed regional and local biofuel networks to support the use of renewable vehicle fuel. Actors from all parts of the fuel–vehicle chain, biomass producers, farmers, fuel producers, distributors, vehicle manufacturers and users gathered at the arena to allow the use of renewable fuels, particularly in the public sector. The project MOVE aimed at developing the work with Mobility Management at more energy agencies in Europe. By managing local projects, best practices and standards to facilitate the work were produced. Read more.
